You can easily spend thousands of dollars in home automation technology, especially if you decide to use top notch equipment such as pro-grade home automation controllers or pro-grade home security systems. But, you don’t need pro-grade systems in order to make your home smart. You can start small and use inexpensive devices that are easy to install and simple to use.
