CE Pro: NuVo Wireless Audio System Adds Audyssey Dynamic Volume Control

NuVo’s wireless audio distribution system just keeps getting better and better. CE Pro reported yesterday that NuVo’s wireless audio system now features Audyssey Lab’s Dynamic Volume technology.

NuVo Wireless SystemsHere’s the Story: Who says wireless audio can’t be high quality? NuVo Technologies is taking steps to ensure that by incorporating Audyssey Lab’s Dynamic Volume technology into its new Wireless Audio System.

Accessible through NuVo’s system control app, Audyssey’s Dynamic Volume control can be set to trim the highest and lowest decibels of an audio sample to meet a comfortable or desired listening range, according to the company.

“The simple truth is volume fluctuates even without touching a button,” says NuVo’s Vice President and General Manager, David Rodarte. “There are second-to-second differences in many musical arrangements that enhance the experience. But these can also be disruptive, depending on the listening environment. Audyssey’s Dynamic Volume enables us to put users in control of these situations, provides them with the ability to make adjustments, and delivers a superior listening experience.”

Integrators love wire and cable… but lots of your clients don’t.

Integrators can lose six-figure installations simply because the homeowner doesn’t want the holes and dust associated with pulling cable in the home.

That sales dilemma, along with the fact that existing homes are now the primary market segment for integrators vs. new construction, has bred the explosive growth of wireless audio and video distribution as a category. But what are the pros and cons of wireless vs. hardwired? What is the best way to design a system to distribute high-quality signals so you aren’t getting the sale, but spending lots of time on service calls or listening to complaints about poor quality?

In this CE Pro webinar on Wireless A/V, a panel of integrators will discuss the strong growth of the category, successful sales techniques, what to look for in a wireless audio systems as well as wireless HDMI distribution systems, particular applications and installation tips. In particular, the session will explore:

  • How apps for wireless audio systems are helping to increase the user interaction with home audio.
  • An analysis of wireless HDMI systems and their distance limitations
