Surefire Motivation

If you’re like me, you need some outside motivation every once in awhile!

Coffee helps, a brisk walk around the building, lunch…that works for awhile.  But a couple times a year I need some real, exciting, inspiring, neurons-firing-on-all-cylinders-type of motivation!

Luckily, I’ve discovered a surefire motivator.  This is something I’ve done for years now, so from personal experience you can be assured this will work 100% of the time:

Attend a Live Workshop! 

By “live workshop” I mean any learning environment that includes other people, live and in person.  Not computer screens, not phones, not ”real time.”  Although Webinars, Teleseminars and the like are convenient and helpful, rarely are they actually motivating. 

When the goal is to get pumped up, excited and full of energy to get back to work, there is nothing like in-person training.  Call it a training session, workshop, seminar, course, class, whatever.  There is an energy derived from physical beings in the same room, focused on the same topic. Thinking.  Processing thoughts of any kind. 

Truthfully, the topic doesn’t quite matter as long as it is interesting to you.  But as long as you’re recharging your battery and looking to revive the energy behind your business, you might as well gain valuable insight on how to make more money in our industry right? 

Grow profits, increase revenue…get concrete ideas, motivation & inspiration that will work regardless of the economy.   Hmmmm, sounds like an amazingly effective way to spend your time…if only there were a real workshop or training session that could accomplish it.

Residential Integrator School (RIS) in San Diego & New Orleans.  Great spots to spend some time, am I right?!
